Even though it’s been in laptops, tablets, phones and even video game controllers for nearly a decade, the port is on the tip of everyone’s tongue, thanks to the rumors of Apple’s next iPhone. But that’s a story for a different day — let’s dive into what makes USB-C (also called USB Type-C) so important.
