• JUST IN: Amazon says it’s experiencing more connectivity issues affecting its cloud computing services unit AWS.

• Amazon has previously reported it “fully mitigated” an earlier outage that disrupted several popular websites and apps across the world including Snapchat, Facebook and Fortnite. Downdetector, which tracks internet disruptions, said it had received 6.5 million reports from users worldwide.• Banks and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and AI firm Perplexity also reported issues as did US airlines Delta and United.  –read more–

Earlier this week at the Victoria’s Secret after-party in New York, Jodie Turner-Smith arrived in a pair of relaxed, low-slung light wash jeans, a white vest and a black, white and red military jacket that looked nothing short of Napoleonic.

Identifiable by elaborate braiding, decorative buttons, and often toggles across the chest, military coats — also known as the Hussar jacket or Pelisse — appear to be making a comeback. While Turner-Smith, who also attended the brand’s latest runway show as a VIP guest, got her Hussar coat from Georgian-based brand Keburia, she’s not the only celebrity who has been spotted in military-style outerwear in recent weeks. –read more–

F1 | What tyres will the teams and drivers have for the 2025 United States Grand Prix?

Formula 1 rolls on to Austin’s Circuit of The Americas (COTA) for the United States Grand Prix this weekend, with tyre supplier Pirelli confirming the compounds that will be in play.

It is the second Grand Prix of the season where Pirelli are bringing three non-consecutive compounds (the last being Spa-Francorchamps), and the available tyres will again be the C1 as the hard, the C3 as the medium and the C4 as the soft.

With the Sprint format in play this weekend, drivers will be given 12 sets of tyres rather than the usual 13. Each will receive two sets of the hard, four sets of the medium and six sets of soft, as well as five sets of intermediates and two sets of wets. –read more–

F1 | Russell storms to victory in Singapore as McLaren seal Teams’ Championship amid Norris/Piastri clash

George Russell has claimed a dominant victory in the Singapore Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver converting pole position into a flawless win ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, while McLaren scored enough points to seal the 2025 Teams’ Championship.

Russell had led cleanly away from P1 on the grid as the race got underway, while the battle behind saw Norris clip the rear of Verstappen’s Red Bull and bang wheels with team mate Oscar Piastri, the Briton subsequently getting past his team mate in a close scrap. –read more–
