Reigning world champion Hamilton wasn’t too happy with the car after Friday practice and was unusually still making changes to his Silver Arrow ahead of qualifying. He later admitted those tweaks subsequently made the car worse, and you could believe it when he made a rare mistake in Q2, spinning at Luffield and dragging gravel onto the track to cause a red flag.

But as he has done so often in his illustrious career, Hamilton regrouped, zoned everything else out, and pieced together the fastest lap of the weekend to nail a track record and put pole position out of reach. The streaming service has announced a new series featuring the media mogul.

CNN Politics | John Lewis’ final crossing provides a new chapter in the history of the Edmund Pettus Bridge

Washington, DC (CNN) – The late US Rep. John Robert Lewis made his final journey on Sunday across the famous bridge in Selma, Alabama, where the towering civil rights figure helped lead a march for voting rights in 1965 that came to be a key part of his legacy.

Following a short ceremony outside of Brown Chapel AME Church on Sunday, Lewis’ body traveled on a horse-drawn caisson through several blocks of downtown Selma to the Edmund Pettus Bridge, where Lewis’ flag-draped casket crossed. It was on that bridge that a 25-year-old Lewis and other marchers were met by heavily armed state and local police who attacked them with clubs, fracturing Lewis’ skull.  —more—

CNN Business | Home sales jumped nearly 21% in June

After several months of plummeting sales caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the housing market came back to life in June, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Sales of previously owned homes jumped a record 20.7% from May, the largest month-over-month increase since NAR began tracking in 1968.

“Record low mortgage rates are no doubt helping to bring buyers to the market,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. “But the inventory levels are shrinking, which could create a bottleneck for sales gains going forward.”  —more—
