F1 | Verstappen storms to pole position at Silverstone ahead of Piastri and Norris
Max Verstappen has clinched pole position at the British Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver storming through with a stunning lap to put himself at the front of the grid ahead of the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
While Piastri had secured provisional pole during the first runs of Q3, the Australian made a mistake on his final effort and could not improve. But Verstappen put his lap together perfectly to go fastest on an effort of 1m 24.892s, putting himself 0.103s clear of Piastri’s McLaren. –read more–
F1 | What tyres will the teams and drivers have for the 2025 British Grand Prix?
Formula 1 returns to Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix – and tyre suppliers Pirelli have confirmed the compounds that will be in play.
This year Pirelli have gone one step softer in their range, bringing the C2 as the hard tyre, the C3 as the medium and the C4 as the soft.
Drivers will get two sets of the hard tyre (marked white), three sets of the medium tyre (marked yellow), and eight sets of the soft tyre (marked red), as well as access to the green intermediate tyre and the blue full wets, should they be required. –read more–

Not only will Pirelli bring more tyres to account for F1 Sprint this weekend, they will also be implementing the new, more robust rear construction that was tested in practice for the Austrian Grand Prix. This will be used from the British Grand Prix until the end of the season. --read more--
