F1 | Bottas beats Hamilton to Eifel GP pole as Hulkenberg makes surprise qualifying return

Mercedes continued their 100% pole position record for 2020 at the Eifel Grand Prix. But unlike the last five Grands Prix, it was Russian GP winner Valtteri Bottas rather than Lewis Hamilton who took P1 this time, ending up 0.256s ahead of his team mate – while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured his near-traditional P3 slot on the grid, but just 0.037s off Hamilton.  --read more--

The Pirelli tire allocations for the FORMULA 1 GERMAN GRAND PRIX 2020 are:  (See chart on left.)

Dry Weather
Red (C4) - Soft - Fastest
Yellow (C3) - Medium - .6 seconds per lap slower
White (C2) - Hard - 1.2 seconds per lap slower
 

Wet  Weather
Green - Intermediates - Used when track conditions are wet and starting to dry
Blue - Full Wets - Used when it's actually raining

The 'Full Wets' (blue) can dissipate 85 liters/ 22.45462 gallons per second.  The Intermediates (green), used when the track is wet in some areas and dry in others, can dissipate 30 liters/ 7.92516 gallons per second.
