Lewis Hamilton Nurses His Tires (as usual) and Wins

Mercedes-AMG's Lewis Hamilton starts in Row 2 behind the Ferraris and wins in a very exciting race with the normal tire compound choices, did we pit him too soon, will it be a one pit stop or a two pit stop Formula 1 drama as normal.  When Lewis pitted he was put on the Pirelli Hard Compound (white) tires.  Ironically, Lewis with his audio communication with the pits did not think that the Hard Compound tires were performing properly and questioned the logic of putting him out on the Hard tires.  --more--

The Race

Lewis Hamilton, who started on Row 2 for Mercedes-AMG behind the Ferraris, wins the FORMULA 1 MEXICAN GRAND PRIX 2019.

The Podium

Hamilton's car was damaged early in the race. This type of damage would effect the aerodynamics of the car (down force). Ironically, the change in down force may have helped reduced tire degradation just enough that Hamilton was able to do a 1 pit stop race and finished the race on the Pirelli Hard Compound (white strip) tires.

Hamilton (above) celebrates his amazing win with the Mercedes-AMG team and Toto Wolff, CEO.

The winners Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes-AMG (3rd place); Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari (2nd place); Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes-AMG (1st place).
