F1 | Verstappen beats Leclerc by just 0.5s in epic Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Red Bull's Max Verstappen won an epic battle over Charles Leclerc in Saudi Arabia with Carlos Sainz completing the podium behind his Ferrari team mate – as pole-sitter Sergio Perez had to settle for fourth after pitting just before a pivotal Safety Car.
Perez led until Lap 16, when a flash of Ferrari mechanics perhaps triggered Red Bull into an early pit stop. That proved to be unfortunate; Williams' Nicholas Latifi crashed at the final corner on the next lap and triggered a VSC then Safety Car, with Leclerc, Verstappen and Sainz capitalising.
The Mexican was set to restart third on Lap 21 when the Safety Car retreated but was found to have passed Sainz as the Spaniard exited the pits alongside the Red Bull during the caution period, leaving the pole-sitter fourth. –read more–

F1 | Perez edges out Ferraris for sensational maiden pole position in Saudi Arabia qualifying
Sergio Perez claimed a first career pole with a scintillating last-gasp effort in a dramatic and heavily disrupted qualifying session in Saudi Arabia.
The Mexican snatched top spot from Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the final seconds, with the pair split by just two-hundredths of a second at the conclusion of a wild session on the streets of Jeddah.
The session had paused for an hour during Q2 after a violent high-speed crash for Haas' Mick Schumacher, who was extricated to the medical centre – where no injuries where revealed – and later to hosptial for precautionary checks. –read more–

Tire Allocations
F1 | What tyres will the teams and drivers have for te first ever Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at Jeddah?Pirelli have announced which tyre compounds they will bring to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The new 18-inch tyres faced a tough task with the high temperatures in Bahrain and abrasive nature of Bahrain International Circuit and should be in for a different test this week at Jeddah.
This weekend will see Pirelli stick with the range of compounds chosen in December at the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. That means this weekend will see the C2 (hard tyres, x2 sets), C3 (medium tyres, x3 sets) and the C4 (soft tyres, x8 sets), which is one step softer that the tyres nominated for last weekend’s race in Bahrain. –read more–

Lewis Hamilton won a controversial debut Saudi Arabian Grand Prix from pole position ahead of Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas amid two red-flag stoppages. The result means the two championship protagonists go to the Abu Dhabi finale level on points.
Hamilton led Bottas and Verstappen – who shrugged off his qualifying crash – at the start but on Lap 10, Mick Schumacher spun and hit the Turn 23 barriers. The Safety Car soon turned into a red flag, crucially giving Verstappen a free stop in the pits, while the Mercedes had stopped under yellows. --read more--

F1 | Hamilton snatches pole as Verstappen crashes in thrilling Saudi Arabian GP qualifying
Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after his title rival Max Verstappen looked set to beat him only to crash at the final corner…
There was very little to choose between the two title protagonists throughout qualifying with Verstappen appearing to have the slight edge as Hamilton complained of a lack of grip.
Both were leaving everything out there, Hamilton brilliantly catching a huge tankslapper on his first timed lap and then pumping in the quickest time on his next run. --read more--
