For immigrants, that can afford to do so, the EB-5 program is an excellent option to consider.  In its simplest form, the EB-5 program was established as an immigration process alternative that also helps to build the U.S. infrastructure and creates jobs in the process.

To participate in the EB-5 program the immigrant makes a $500,000 or $1,000,000 ($1M) in an EB-5 approved project or business that will create 5 jobs or 10 jobs, depending on the amount invested.  The investment in EB-5 project must stay invested for the entire time as the immigrant is going through the immigration process.
